Never feel bad if you say "no" to a request. It does not matter what the people think of you. It does not matter at all. You and your art are worth more than pleasing some strangers` sick minds. 
You don´t owe them anything unless you get paid.

Never feel bad to say "no" to an art trade you don´t want to do. If you know the art you will get in return is done without any love or even if you just don´t like their style enough you have all rights to say now.

Everyone who feels hurt for not getting requests or trades accepted is not your problem.

You are not egoistic and not an asshole for wanting something equally in return for your work.
